ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali has been sworn in as new Chief Justice of Pakistan today, upon retirement of incumbent Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan Jawad S. Khawaja on September 9
President Mamnoon Hussain administered the oath in a ceremony at the President House.
Earlier Justice Jawad S. Khawaja took oath as Chief Justice of Pakistan on August 17 after Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk, who headed a commission to look into allegation of rigging in 2013’s general elections, was retired.
