Imran Khan wishes peaceful Eid-ul-Azha

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Friday wished a peaceful Eid-ul-Azha to nation.

In a message on micro-blogging website Twitter, the PTI chief urged to remember the spirit of sacrifice and devotion and devotion that Eid-ul-Azha commemorates.

Pakistan is celebrating Eid-ul Azha, which is one of the two major Muslim rituals, along with other South Asian countries with great religious fervor and enthusiasm to commemorate the historic sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S).

Large Eid congregations have been held at mosques, Eidgahs, and open places in all cities, towns, and villages across the country. Following the Eid prayers people are slaughtering their sacrificial animals that will continue during all three days of Eid-ul-Azha.

Fateha Khawani and special prayers were also offered for the martyrs and injured of Thursday’s tragedy in Mina and of the crane accident in Makkah’s Grand Mosque, the events that claimed lives of more than 800 Muslims in Saudi.

Rapid Response Force, Mohafiz Force and Counter Terrorism Departments have also been deployed as backup force.

According to Interior ministry security personnel have been deployed outside all mosques while comprehensive measurement have been taken at large Eidgahs. Security scanners and walk through gates have also been installed at notable places. CCTV cameras are also set up in sensitive locations to monitor the situation in large cities.

Police and other security departments will also supervise the hide collecting organizations. Security personnel have been tasked to ensure that no banned outfit gathers hides.

In Punjab 51,974 officers and officials which include 289 gazetted officers; 664 inspectors; 2,296 sub-inspectors; 3,339 ASIs; 2,662 head constables; 28,152 constables and 11,887 Quami Razakars have been deployed on all key locations.

More than 15,500 police officers have been deployed in Karachi to maintain law and order on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

Contingents of Pakistan army are also available as Rapid Response Force in all major cities of the country.
