10 designers that caught our eye at Bridal Couture Week, December 2015

Telenor Bridal Couture Week came to an end on Sunday after three exciting days of glitz and glamour packed with celebrities, fashionistas, bloggers and designer collections for coming wedding season. We witnessed many couture kings and queens together on the platform to showcase their bridal collections, but the following 10 designers caught our eye and deserve an applause.

1. Aisha Imran

Aisha Imran collection named “Heritage” was inspired by the beautiful city of Lahore. She used a blend of different colors. Some very loud and bright tones and few pastels to create a beautiful amalgamation of art and modern work. Her dresses were heavily embellished with dabka, goti and pearl work. Her collection mostly consisted of ghagras and lehngas with a mix of short cholis and long gowns. She made use of gold, maroon rust and royal blue in the bridal wears in a way that attracted everyone’s eye.

2. Fahad Hussayn

Fahad Husayn Collection “Gulnar Manzil” was based on Umer Hayat Mehal also known as Gulnar Manzil. His collection derived inspiration from the carved wooden structures used in Chiniot and were inspired by architecture of Gulnar Manzil. His dresses were truly designed for a queen. His dresses, like always, were a blend of traditional cuts with modern work. Fahad made use of his signature silk thread work on rich fabrics like organza, tissue, net and chiffons along with a metal thread work specially crafted for this capsule.

Hassan Shehryar Yasin Collection was a blend of gold work with pastels and darker tones. His dresses inspired by heaven and fused with western silhouettes were heavily detailed with velvet capes and jackets adding feminine delicacy to his the collection.

4. Saher Atif

Saher Atif bridal dresses were beautifully crafted in dull shades and lighter tones. Her dresses had some beautiful blend of pants with jackets and hemlines. She made use of layered nets, organza, kundan zari and chiffons with crystal embellishment mixed with pearls and zari work. The cuts were to die for. We loved her bell pants with crop tops and gowns. Her show definitely stole our heart.

5. Erum Khan

“Dastoor-e-Ishq” a collection by Erum Khan was something to adore. We loved her detailing of work on earthy hues merged with beautiful cuts. She also made use of some louder tones like, red, maroons, burgandi and aborigines etcetera. The collection she showcased mostly consisted of ghagra cholis in net, organza and chiffon detailed with tila, thread, zari and perals.

6. Sobia Nazir

Sobia Nazir made her debut on the ramp with her collection named “Sar-I-Sang”. Her focus was a bolder look of modern day women while playing with colors and cuts. Her dresses were extravagantly detailed with some heavy crystals, stones and pearls fused with thread work. She mostly made use of soft pastel hues. Her collection was extremely elegant and at the same time equally glamorous.

7. Hina Butt

Hina Butt collection “The Royal Majesty” has driven its inspiration from vintage romance based on old Victorian architecture and paintings. Hina Butt collection made use of some lighter hues with cut works and savvy silhouettes. Her collection consisted of heavy necklines and floating gowns that turned our heads up.
