LAHORE (Staff Report) – The player-draft for first edition of Pakistan Super League will take place on December 21 and 22, in which five teams will pick their squads of up to 20 players from five categories carrying players from 15 countries.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had decided to go for player-draft, where every player from a category will get fixed payment, instead of open bidding to avoid inter-franchise war.

Meanwhile every team will select five players from silver category to complete 16-member squad which could be further extended to 20 players in case of partial availability of several players.
In the PSL first edition Platinum category will receive $140,000, Diamond $70,000, Gold $50,000, Silver $25,000, and Emerging $ 10,000 as salaries.
