Imran Khan And Bushra Bibi To Be Indicted In New Toshakhana Case On October 2

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, are set to be indicted in a new Toshakhana reference on October 2. The decision came during a hearing held at Adiala Jail, presided over by Special Judge Shahrukh Arjumand.

The Toshakhana case has been a significant point of legal contention for the couple, involving allegations about the unlawful acquisition and sale of state gifts. These gifts, presented to the former premier during his time in office, are alleged to have been sold without proper disclosure, violating Toshakhana (the state depository) rules.

As both individuals face potential indictment, the case is drawing widespread attention. Legal experts predict it could significantly impact Khan’s political future and the PTI’s positioning ahead of the upcoming general elections.

Judge Arjumand, who has overseen the proceedings, will formally present the charges against the couple on October 2. Meanwhile, Khan’s legal team is also pursuing a post-arrest bail petition.
