LAHORE – The government of Punjab started registration for Honahar Scholarship Program to help deserving students complete their education.
In the first phase, the scholarships are being offered across 68 disciplines as the initiative seeks to enhance access to higher education for talented students in the country’s most populated region.
Punjab Honahar Scholarship will help students from 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges, while also extending opportunities to leading private universities.
The provincial government aimed to increase the total scholarship fund to Rs130 billion, with around 120,000 students projected to receive assistance in the next four years.
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz also expressed her excitement and commitment to fulfilling her promise of facilitating quality education for deserving youth. In a social media post, Honahar Scholarship Program is a major milestone that will eliminate financial barriers, enabling intelligent students to pursue higher education.
Chief Minister also emphasised the program’s goal of empowering Pakistani youth by providing them with access to quality education and promising employment opportunities.
Students interested in applying for the scholarship can register starting today, marking a significant step towards enhancing educational opportunities in the region.
