Arabian Sea Storm May Hit Pakistans Coastal Areas In Two Weeks Ndma Warns

KARACHI – An alert has been issued about low-pressure system in the Arabian Sea, which could transform into a tropical storm and may hit Pakistan’s coastal areas.

NDMA issued a warning regarding potential storm system developing in the Arabian Sea, which may hit between 15-22 October.

In its alert, the country’s apex disaster management authority said storm system is currently located near Lakshadweep Valley in India, and it could intensify into a coastal storm and move northwest.

The residents of coastal areas, Pakistani authorities and emergency services are urged to stay vigilant and prepared for any emergencies that may arise.

NDMA further said the situation is under close monitoring in coordination with relevant departments.

To ensure safety, authorities are preparing for possible evacuations and are issuing guidelines aimed at minimizing potential damage should the storm make landfall. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and heed any directives from local officials as the situation develops.
