International Non Proliferation Conference Held In Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – A two-day international conference titled “Islamabad Non-Proliferation Conference 2024” was organised by the Strategic Vision Institute Islamabad, said ISPR.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, was the Chief Guest of the conference.

According to ISPR, the conference was aimed at fostering constructive dialogue on global strategic issues and share Pakistan’s policy perspectives.

This high-level conference not only reinforced Pakistan’s commitment to global non-proliferation efforts, but also emphasized the importance of strategic dialogue in maintaining regional and international security.

The conference featured keynote addresses, delivered by distinguished policymakers and practitioners from Pakistan, including former Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mehmood Hayat, Advisors of the National Command Authority, Lt. Gen. Khalid Ahmed Kidwai, Lt Gen. Sarfraz Sattar, and other key figures.

Participants included prominent international scholars from Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Center for Energy and Security Studies Russia, China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace United States, Royal United Services Institute United Kingdom, Moscow State Institute of International Relations , Saint Petersburg State University, Shanghai University, Peking University, University at Albany, State University of New York and University of Birmingham.
