KARACHI (Staff Report) – Pak Sarzameen Party, led by former mayor Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal is set to stage its first-ever public rally in the port city a month after its inception.
With all hopes to set the tone for future of Karachi, Syed Mustafa Kamal’s party is faced with the foremost and biggest challenge to convincingly show its public power today at Bagh-e-Jinnah – a venue popular among Karachi’s political parties for holding big public meetings.

PSP founding member Mustafa Kamal was around at the venue overnight. Kamal said he was immensely grateful to God as his message came across directly to the hearts of people.
“I believe that a large number of people will respond to our call at this public meeting as we hope to change political dynamics of the metropolis,” he told the media during the rally.

On the occasion, the PSP leader added he was eyeing the next general elections, not any by-elections.
He also vowed that the party’s message would be disseminated to every nook and cranny of the country through well-coordinated organisational set up.
The arrangements for PSP rally were finalised till evening with strong security cordon placed surrounding Bagh-e-Jinnah.
A family festival was also arranged at Bagh-e-Jinnah Saturday night to mobilise people for taking part in the public gathering on Sunday. Some local singers also performed at the stage to enthral the audience.
Mustafa Kamal made headlines when he returned to the country on March 4 and dropped a bombshell on MQM with startling revelations against his former party MQM and and its supremo leader Altaf Hussain who is living in self-exile in London.
At his press conference flanked along Anees Qaimkhani, he levelled serious allegations on Altaf Hussain-led party, accusing it of being funded by Indian spy agency and targeted the MQM chief for resorting to violent approach in keeping hold of the city.
Following his presser, several dissidents of MQM announced in regular intervals to join Kamal.
So far, many senior but sidelined MQM faces including Raza Haroon, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Anees Advocate, Waseem Aftab, Iftikhar Alam and others have joined Pak Sarzameen Party.
