ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan is set to mark Youm-e-Takbeer on Saturday, the commemoration day of the 1999 nuclear tests that made Pakistan the 7th nuclear state of the world, with a pledge to defend the country against any aggression.
Pakistan had carried out nuclear tests on 28 May, 1998 in response to Indian nuclear explosions, and had thereby made defense of the motherland impregnable.
In the morning, special prayers will be offered for the progress and prosperity of the country, supremacy of the constitution, and eradication of terrorism.
Different organisations will arrange special programs and functions and bring out rallies to highlight importance of the day.
