ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan condemned Israel’s attacks on Iran and expressed deep concern over the escalating crisis in the Middle East.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Türkiye, , during which both leaders expressed serious concern over the worsening situation in the Middle East. They strongly condemned Israel’s attack on Iran and the subsequent regrettable strikes on brotherly Gulf countries.
The prime minister briefed President Erdoğan on his recent contacts with the leadership of friendly Gulf nations, conveying Pakistan’s full solidarity with them and its readiness to play a constructive role in resolving the crisis.
Both leaders emphasized that all parties should exercise maximum restraint and patience to avoid further escalation.
The prime minister also apprised President Erdoğan of recent developments concerning Afghanistan. The two leaders agreed to remain in close and continuous contact regarding the situation and efforts aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region.
