US witnessed massive protests under banner of “No Kings,” targeting President Donald Trump’s policies and his approach toward Iran. In Minnesota, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders delivered a fiery speech to thousands of demonstrators, openly condemning Trump’s actions.
Sanders declared that America does not need a monarchy and that sovereignty belongs solely to the people—not to any individual. He criticized Trump for breaking his campaign promise not to waste taxpayer money on wars, highlighting that the U.S. attack on Iran was both unconstitutional, due to a lack of Congressional approval, and a violation of international law.
The senator accused Trump of coordinating with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the assault on Iran, which provoked outrage among protesters.
