ISLAMABAD: In a bid to facilitate its beneficiaries in a transparent manner, Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has decided to introduce a bio-metric payments system.
The advanced payment system will be introduced in districts of Multan, Mianwali, Mirpurkhas and Sanghar in the first phase, according to a statement.Â
The new payment system will benefit those people who already have smart cards to draw their funds.
BISP officials said that steps were being taken to ensure that beneficiaries in these districts started benefiting from the new payment system by the middle of next month.
