LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Azadi Train is receiving an enthusiastic response from the general public on the second day of its stay at Lahore Railway Station.
People from different walks of life, including children, are coming in large numbers to witness cultural heritage of the country on one platform.
People are anxiously waiting in long queues to visit the picture galleries highlighting the life of Quaid-e-Azam and sacrifices of the national heroes.
Talking to Radio Pakistan correspondent, the visitors said the Kashmir issue and sacrifices of our national heroes have been highlighted in an effective manner.
They said floats representing all provinces, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, are worth-seeing.
Special Functions also have been organized at Lahore Railway Station in connection with the Azadi Train.
Pakistan National Council of Arts organized a puppet show depicting folk tales and skits to educate general public and specially the children about the Pakistan Movement and importance of independence for a nation.
The musical bands of Pakistan Railways Police and Punjab Police played the national tunes and people in a large number enjoyed and appreciated the members of the bands.
The Azadi Train will leave for Multan on Sunday morning.
