Many tourists stranded in Kahuta as roads blocked after heavy rains, landslide

KAHUTA (Web Desk) – Several tourists have stranded in Kahuta and Azad Kashmir as roads are blocked due to heavy rains and land sliding.

As per details, heavy rain in upper parts of the country has wreaked havoc as people are facing immense problems after being struck on roads due to land slide that blocked route from Azad Kashmir to Rawalpindi.

The authorities have failed to clear the mess despite passage of 36 hours however, the locals have started rescue process by themselves.

The residents have also staged protest against the inefficient behavior of the district government and demanded to clean the road as early as possible.

On the other hand, at least six laborers were wounded as a wall of a building collapsed in Rawalpindi’s Peer Wadhai.

Four women sustained severe injuries as a roof of a house collapsed in Faisalabad.

The incident took place in Shalimar Town when a roof of a dilapidated house caved in and entrapped four women under the rubble.

Separately, seven people including children were got wounded in another roof collapse incident in Gujranwala.

Most parts of the country received heavy rains during the last 48 hours.

According to the Met Office, more light rain or drizzle with occasional thunderstorms are expected in the metropolis during the next 24 hours.
