100 Afghan nationals arrested in Quetta; seminary sealed

QUETTA (Staff Report) – Security forces on Sunday conducted a raid at a seminary near Quetta’s Eastern bypass area and arrested more than 100 Afghan nationals.

“A search operation was conducted inside the seminary and the Afghan students were arrested under Foreigners Act,” said a security official. The Afghan nationals who were illegally staying at the seminary would be repatriated to Afghanistan, added the security official.

The detained Afghan nationals did not have any travel documents with them and were handed over to police for further investigation. The forces also sealed the madrassa later on.
