KARACHI (Staff Report) – Pakistan Rangers Sindh Director General (DG) Maj Gen Bilal Akbar said on Monday that the August 22 attack on media houses was planned and executed by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers.
While talking to the media after his visit to Jinnah Hospital, Bilal said that the members of MQM’s unit and sector offices carried out the attack on the directives of the party’s Rabita Committee and Central Executive Committee.
The DG stated that MQM founder provoked the individuals associated with his party for the attack, further stating that 6 MQM workers involved in the attacks had been arrested till now who had given names of other accomplices.
Rangers DG said that the arrested culprits were being handed over to the police so that they may be presented in the court.
