KARACHI (Web Desk) – A policeman was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Karachi’s North Nazimabad neighbourhood here on Saturday.
The assailant opened fire on the police official while he was performing duty near Landi Kotal Chowrangi. The deceased official was identified as Munawwar
The slain cop’s body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Sindh Inspector General Police AD Khawaja sought a report into the incident from the SSP-West, and directed the police to collect necessary evidence.
Earlier on Thursday, another policeman was gunned down at a check post near Chiniot hospital in Korangi. He was identified as Shehzad.
Attacks on law enforcement personnel’s are common in the metropolis. A comprehensive strategy to tackle the burgeoning attack on the officials is need of the hour to strengthen Karachi operation.
