SWABI – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has once again vowed to take to the streets against the government if Supreme Court fails to provide justice in the wake of the Panama Leaks case.
While addressing a rally in Swabi on Sunday Imran slapped at the PML-N led government, especially Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, accusing the premier of destroying state institutions including NAB (National Accountability Bureau) and Police.
Imran went on to say that the “captain” of the corruption “team” was Nawaz Sharif while JUI-F chief Fazal Ur Rehman were “vice-captains”, and PPP Chairman Asif Zardari and CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif were “coaches”.
The PTI chief also mentioned his reservations over the multi-billion dollars China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) clarifying that his issues over the project was with the federal government and not with China.
He reiterated his complaint that the north-western province was being deprived of its due share in the project.
“Nawaz Sharif promised at the All Parties Conference that a western route of the project would be made and KP would be the beneficiary of it but now we came to know that province was being deprived of its due share from the CPEC,” he said.
He accused the Prime Minister of keeping the contents of CPEC accord under wraps ever since it was inked in 2013.
The legislator also urged Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa to pursue the demand of disclosing the details regarding CPEC.
Imran also felicitated the nation on CPEC and hoped that the project would uplift the country and brighten the future of next generations.
“China has always been a friend of Pakistan and the friendship between the two countries is time tested,” Imran said.
