QUETTA – Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday reiterated the Pakistan Army’s commitment for timely completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project (CPEC).
“The timely completion of CPEC will usher a new era of development in Balochistan and Pakistan Army is committed to this objective,” General Bajwa said while addressing the passing out parade of Baloch Recruits during his visit to Balochistan’s capital.
He expressed that Balochistan was a pivotal part of Pakistan, adding that the natural resources in the province should be exploited for the betterment of masses.
The military head claimed that the enemies were targeting Balochistan as development in Balochistan would ensure peace and stability in the whole country.
According to the ISPR, Gen Bajwa attended the ceremony as chief guest in Quetta Cantonment.
“Baluchistan continues to contribute towards national integration and progress,” the statement added.
Top military officials as well as Balochistan’s Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti also accompanyed the military head for the prestigious event.
COAS will also address officers at Quetta garrison today.
