LAHORE – Dense fog engulfed several parts of the country including Lahore and Karachi on Thursday morning, disrupting the routine of commuters as road, rail and air traffic were affected at various places.
Visibility dropped to zero at National Highway from Lahore to Pattoki section and Gujranwala due to which the authorities have directed people to avoid unnecessary travelling on motorway.
Flight operations were also interrupted due to heavy fog and as many as 4 flights were diverted to Muscat.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Foggy conditions are likely to prevail over the plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
