RAWALPINDI -Indian forces made a fresh ceasefire violated by resorting to unprovoked firing and shelling across the Line of control (LoC) on Thursday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
‘There have been five CFVs by the Indians during the last 24 hours in Jandrot, Nikyal, Baroh and Khanjar area’ said a press release by ISPR.
Indian forces have consistently been violating the ceasefire treaty along the Line of Control ever since its 18 soldiers killed in Uri attack, last year.
Tensions between two nuclear-armed neighbours frayed in the aftermath of Uri attack as India pointed fingers at Pakistan for the attack however, Pakistan refuted the allegations.
What added fuel to the fire was Indian aggression on Line of Control and claims of conducting a surgical strike inside Pakistan.
