SAHIWAL – Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the 1380 megawatt Sahiwal Coal Fired Power Plant on Tuesday and expressed satisfaction over the pace of work.
Addressing a ceremony after visiting different sections of the plant, he said that power projects were being monitored on a daily basis.
Untiring efforts of Railway Minister Saad Rafique played an important role to complete the project, he said, adding that power generation from the project will be started by June of this year.
He also expressed gratitude to the Chinese engineers and authorities for providing support to realise the project. He added that China has played an important role to bring development in Pakistan.
Criticizing the opponents, the chief minister said, “Our political rivals are actually against the development in Pakistan.”
Talking about the cases against Sharif family, he said that nobody highlighted the $60 million stashed in Swiss banks amid Panama case against Sharif family.
