Imran demands Rangers operation in Punjab

LAHORE – On Tuesday Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan reiterated his demand to conduct Rangers Operation in Punjab, similar to the ongoing one in Karachi.

Talking to newsmen in Lahore he said that if an operation could be carried out in Karachi then why not in Punjab.

‘If there is a problem, then why has no operation been initiated against terrorists?’ he inquired.

Imran said that terrorism would not end until police is de-politicized adding that impartiality of police was pivotal to improve its performance.

‘Every political party signed the National Action Plan, and now it should be immediately implemented’ he asserted.

The PTI supremo maintained that the Police Act approved in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, would be presented in Sindh and Punjab Assemblies as well.

Imran also took a jibe at Hamza Shehbaz and claimed that he enjoyed authority regarding appointment of SHOs.

The legislator spent a busy day in Lahore and condoled with the family of DIG Ahmed Mobin who lost his life in a tragic blast on Monday.
