Federal institutions to be ousted from Sindh for political moves, says CM Murad Ali Shah

NOORIABAD – Chief minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Sunday expressed that the federal institutions would be thrown out of the province provided they indulge in politics.

Murad expressed his viewpoints after brief detention of PPP law maker Sharjeel Memon who was taken into custody after landing at Islamabad airport.

‘If these institutions continue to play politics, the Sindh government will send them packing,’ Shah said while avoiding to name the institutions.

The chief minister inquired as to why who attacked courts were roaming free while PPP was being targeted.

‘The provincial government will not tolerate the wrong actions of federal institutions,’ the chief minister told media representatives.

Murad went on and expressed that Sharjeel Memon had returned after getting permission from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

‘The court had ordered that Sharjeel Memon should not be arrested before a hearing’ he added.

The legislator also rubbished the notion that Pakistan Peoples Party was trying to save Sharjeel Memon.

‘If we had to support and protect Sharjeel we would have asked him to land at the Karachi International Airport’ the CM added.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh leader Sharjeel Inam Memon was arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from Islamabad airport on early Sunday morning.

Memon was living in a self-imposed exile for more than two years in Dubai and London and his arrest stirred political storm in the country. He would appear before the Islamabad High Court today.
