LAHORE – Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) candidate, Dr Yasmin Rashid, has started a door-to-door election campaign in NA-120 from Litton area.
The National Assembly seat became vacant due to the disqualification of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. PTI has fielded Yasmin Rashid in this constituency where a big contest is expected.
During the launch of the campaign, PTI leaders including Rukhsana Noor, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, Zubair Niazi and others were also present in the area.
PTI supporters and loyalists surrounded their candidate and threw rose petals on her.
They claimed that this time they would not let opponents rig elections and sway results.
Talking to the residents of the area, PTI candidate warned that rulers would not succeed in this election despite using state machinery. She further said a “disqualified” person is coming to Lahore who has been proved as liar.
She said that residents of the city would not accord him welcome, but officers and employees of different government departments would be there to receive him.
