ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) was held under Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday in Islamabad, local media reported.
Chief ministers of all the four province and others attended the meeting, which carried 11-point agenda.
According to local media, the initial results of the sixth housing and population census were presented in the CCI meeting.
The polices regarding water and forest were also put forward for approval, while the proposal suggesting an increase in water supply to Karachi and LNG deals were also part of the agenda.
Matters pertaining to form a fiscal coordination committee, Katchi canal corruption investigation were also brought under light.
Following the meeting, all the chief ministers called on the prime minister separately and discussed development and other provincial issues.
The meeting was set to held on July 31 but it could not take place due to disqualification of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif by the Supreme Court on July 28.
The CCI consists of four chief ministers and federal ministers for inter-provincial coordination, industries and production and finance.
