Pakistan suffers loss of 14 bn following Panamagate verdict: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said that Pakistan suffered from a loss of $14 billion in the aftermath of the Panamagate judgement, local media reported.

The minister stated this while talking to media at Sasta Bazar in Islamabad where a huge fire broke out on August 23 burning several stalls and shops.

Slamming political rivals for triggering instability in the country, Iqbal highlighted that such activities will definitely impede economic development in Pakistan.

Stressing needs to be united, he asked to go ahead beyond “dead issues” like DawnLeaks, investigtion into has been completed with the consensus of civil and military leadership.

On July 28, the Supreme Court announced landmark judgement in Panama Papers case by disqualifying former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on not being honest.
