PM Abbasi chairs ECC meeting in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday chaired a meeting of Economic Coordination Committee in Islamabad on Tuesday (today), local media reported.

The meeting discussed various issues including allocation of gas from Makori field and Liquefied Petroleum Gas Air Mix projects. It also reviewed a report regarding margin  for oil companies and dealers on petroleum products.

The meeting also approved a proposal to grant subsidy on wheat to Gilgit-Baltistan, besides clearing way for issuance of two-month salary to employees of Pakistan Steel Mills.

It is important to mention here that a notification was issued on August 11 stating that the prime minister will head the ECC, instead of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

The meeting was attended by ministers of different departments and other officials
