ISLAMABAD – The government on Thursday revised prices of petroleum products, increasing the price of petrol by Rs 2 per litre.
Ministry of Finance gave formal approval to the recommendations forwarded by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). Petrol will now be sold at Rs. 71.50 per litre after approval of Rs 2 per litre rise.
Prices for high-speed diesel, kerosene oil and light-speed diesel remain unchanged.
The new prices will come in to effect from September 1.
High-speed diesel will be sold at its previous price of Rs 77.4 and kerosene oil and light-speed diesel will be sold at Rs 44 per litre.
