ISLAMABAD – The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that media is playing a crucial role in eliminating the menace of terrorism and dealing with extra constitutional attacks on democracy in the country.
Addressing a media workshop in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, she said the government is taking bold steps to ensure protection and security of working journalists of the country.
She said ‘Access to Information Bill’ approved by the parliament will help journalists gather news through credible and authentic sources.
The minister said without respect of votes and continuation of the democratic system, the country could not move toward development.
