PIA crew members refused hotel rooms in UK as female guests ‘felt insecure’

LONDON – A hotel in United Kingdom has refused to provide rooms to the crew members of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

The hotel management cited female guests “feeling insecure” as the reason behind this decision.

It added it had received numerous complaints of the airline’s male staffers asking female guests for their phone numbers.

Therefore, according to the hotel’s management, it would not provide rooms to the airline’s staff until action was taken against the crew members involved in harassing its female guests.

Earlier, this year in May, some 20 kg of heroin was seized from a PIA plane at Heathrow airport.

The passports of the crew members of the flight were also confiscated.

The National Crime Agency of Britain was investigating the matter relating to the recovery of narcotics from Islamabad to London flight PK-785 by the border security personnel.
