KARACHI – German automotive giant Volkswagen has decided to venture into Pakistan and the company is set to influx hefty investment in Pakistan.
The member of board’s Management of German Automaker Volkswagen Dr. Joseph Baumert met the Prime Minister at his office who assured him that the government would provide all the facilities and help to the firm.
Abbasi said that both local and foreign investors had huge incentives to invest and reap benefits from a fast-growing economy as a result of the improved security situation.
It was also reported that Volkswagen might set up a manufacturing plant for its Amarok Truck and T6 Multivan vehicles in Pakistan.
Apart from Volkswagon’s entry, Lucky Cement (Yunus Brothers Group) has announced a joint venture with Kia Motors, while Hyundai Motor Company also plans to set up a car assembly plant in collaboration with Nishat Group.
