BANNU – At least three security personnel and two civilians were injured in a blast in Bannu, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.
Initial reports said the bomb was planted in a motorcycle parked along the road which exploded as soon as the vehicle of the security personnel approached near it.
The security personnel were on their way to Jani Khel .
Security forces cordoned off the area while rescue services started the operation.
Roadside blasts are common in violence-torn Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa as last month, two security personnel suffered minor wounds when their vehicle was targeted using two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the Shorko area of Lower Kurram Agency.
