Pakistani neurosurgeon Dr Khalid Mahmood awarded in Russia

ISLAMABAD – A Pakistani neurosurgeon of Lahore General Hospital, Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, has been awarded by a Russian governor acknowledging his contribution towards his field.

Mahmood was in Russia to attend an International Conference at Federal Centre of Neuro Surgery in where Governor of Tyumen Vladimir Yakushev gave him Ivory Souvenir.

After reaching Pakistan, he held a media talk here and said that it was an hounour for him to represent Pakistan at such a credible forum, where he delivered lectures and proved that Pakistani doctors did not lack professional ability.

Mahmood said that in his lecture he briefed the participants about the process of removing brain tumours through nose and DBS system, which was quite informative for the participants.

Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood said that continuous research in the field of medical is imperative and our progress is visible in this field.
