PCB finalises 15-member ODI squad for New Zealand series: report

KARACHI – The Pakistan Cricket Board has finalised a 15-member team for ODI series against New Zealand, reported Geo News.

The media outlet claimed that the name of Ahmed Shehzad, an opening batsman of the team, was not being considered for the ODI and even for the T20 despite his performances at the domestic level.

However, Azhar Ali made his way to the team after recovering from an injury due to which he could not take part in cricket for past few months.

For the shortest form of the game, the selection committee was considering the name of Babar Azam as an opening batsman instead of Shehzad.

The ODI squad is as follows:

Sarfraz Ahmed (captain, wicketkeeper)

Azhar Ali

Fakhar Zaman

Babar Azam

Imam-ul-Haq

Shoaib Malik

Mohammad Hafeez

Haris Sohail

Faheem Ashraf

Imad Wasim

Shadab Khan

Junaid Khan

Mohammad Amir

Rumman Raees

Hasan Ali

However, the PCB would officially announce the names of the team in the next few days.
