Zardari weighs in Qadri demands of Shehbaz, Sana resignations

LAHORE  – The co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has expressed full support to Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Tahirul Qadri in Model Town tragedy case and said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would accept any decision taken by the All Parties Conference (APC) in this regard.

“Chief Minister Punjab and Rana Sanaullah should step down from their slots after the justice Baqir Naqvi judicial report on Model Town tragedy,” Asif Ali Zardari supported the demand of Tahirul Qadri during the joint press conference after the meeting at Minhajul Quran Secretariat in Lahore.

“Not 14 but 100 people had died in Model Town tragedy as the injured effected for entire life as some of them deprived off from leg and some from their hands,” he said adding that a case if as per clause 302 would be filed against Rana Sanaullah.

Responding to a question regarding former president Pervez Musharraf, Zardari said, “If he has so brave he should come to Pakistan rather dancing in abroad despite a backache.”

Replying to another query regarding Shehbaz Sharif visit to Saudi Arabia, he said that Sharif’s were trying to save their heirs by taking help from their friends in abroad.

Opposing any likely NRO PPP co-chairman turned down the idea and said, “We will oppose import of any NRO.
