The experience that I am going to share with you is of a person from Bahawalpur, South Punjab, who watched the complete proceedings of the Gujranwala Jalsa at the Jinnah stadium this Sunday, through live coverage being presented on different social media platforms.
It was around 3 p.m. when I had nothing to do on the Internet, and I was watching random videos on YouTube. For some reason, I made my mind to watch the Gujranwala Jalsa of Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif, to see what sort of political activities are being carried out at the venue. The first biggest surprise was the packed crowd at the Jalsa gaah, and for me it was a great amazement because in Gujranwala, the weekend is on Friday, not Sunday. Watching the crowd turn over on a working day in itself was a huge proof of how much people of Gujranwala love CM Shehbaz, and are extremely satisfied with his working as well.
Another significant aspect that I earlier noticed in CM Shehbaz’s Jalsas is that a detailed video presentation was given to the masses about the development projects, which have been completed and are in accomplishment phase in each district wherever the Jalsa is taking place. This activity is highly commendable because CM Shehbaz and his team have achieved something credible. I am saying this, not because I support PMLN but because I have witnessed it.
Also, in CM Shehbaz’s Jalsas, you would not see the typical slogans of ‘Sher Aaya Sher Aaya,’ since the focus is on the presentation of development projects, about which CM also speaks in most of his speech.
Moreover, CM Shehbaz in his every discourse positively states that if he is given the opportunity for the slot of premiership, he would develop every area of Pakistan the way he has developed Punjab over the course of time. It truly is a remarkable sign of a national leader as he is consistently speaking about making Pakistan prosperous, and it also shows that CM Shehbaz is extremely confident about his delivery in Punjab, on the basis of which he has firm plans to make Pakistan a developed nation.
Earlier, former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari during his political speeches in his visit to different cities of Punjab, said that if we will win from Punjab, we will upgrade Punjab to the level of Sindh province. These words from Asif Ali Zardari made him a laughing stock as everyone knows how unfortunate and vulnerable the governance crisis is in Sindh, the biggest example of which is the alarming infrastructural problems in the Karachi city.
One event that I really loved and will remember for a very long time is when CM Shehbaz wrestled with a Pehlwan on the stage, and managed to overcome him. Gujranwala, also known as the ‘City of Pehlwans,’ has a huge significance because of it, and indeed this act was a great gesture of love and admiration to all the Pehlwans there.

I am not a supporter of any particular political party, but I sincerely feel that Shehbaz Sharif at the moment is a right man to lead Pakistan, as his political philosophy is based on nationalism and public welfare.
