PESHAWAR – The chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Siraj-ul-Haq and other leaders remained unharmed after the stage they were sitting on collapsed during an election gathering in Peshawar.
The JI leaders were addressing their supporters in the Mohmand area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s capital .
The stage collapsed due to the presence of more people than its actual holding capacity. The group of men, however, got lucky as Siraj and others remained safe in the incident.
In the video, the stage can be seen collapsing and a huge cloud of dust emerging from the site.

In another incident, PTI leader Abrar ul Haq suffered an electric shock through his microphone during an election rally in Narowal area of Punjab.
Pakistan is set to hold general elections on July 25th, next Wednesday.
