Sheikh Rashid to challenge ECP over postponing polls in NA-60

RAWALPINDI – Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid decided on Sunday to move court against Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) decision to postpone elections in NA-60 constituency following the disqualification of Hanif Abbasi in ephedrine case.

Rashid held the stance that elections can only be postponed in case of death of a candidate. He sensed conspiracy behind postpone of elections.

While terming decision of postponing unconstitutional, Rashid stated that decision is tantamount to pre-poll rigging.
