Nawaz Sharif s health deteriorates, doctors recommend to move him to Rawalpindi cardiology center

RAWALPINDI – The health of former premier Nawaz Sharif who is facing a jail term in Adiala has deteriorated and doctors have recommended to move him to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology.

Dr. Azhar Kyani and Dr. Hamid Ashraf visited Adiala Jail to examine the health of Nawaz Sharif on Sunday night and said that he (Nawaz) should be immediately shifted to cardiology center for better treatment, reported Dunya News.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is reportedly ‘on the verge of kidney failure’ and a medical board has recommended his immediate transfer from Adiala jail to a hospital.

The Jail authorities said they had informed the caretaker Punjab government about the matter.

Interim Punjab Law Minister Zia Haider Rizvi said authorities have not received a formal application in this regard.

He added that the interim provincial government will constitute a medical board after receiving the application and would take measures suggested by the board.
