SHENZHEN – Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has confirmed to launch the Mate 20 series at a special event in London on October 16.
The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will be the company’s first smartphones to feature a newly-announced Kirin 980 chipset.
Huawei’s Kirin 980 is the world’s first 7nm chipset which uses an 8-core CPU design with 2x high-performance Cortex-A76 cores and 2x power-efficient Cortex-A76 cores.
The Mate 20 series will consist of three smartphones – Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro and the Mate 20 Lite.
The Mate 20 will feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen with a water drop notch, triple cameras, 4,200mAh battery, Wireless Charging, stereo speakers and glass on both sides.

The Huawei Mate 20 Lite has a 6.3-inch 1080x2340px IPS LCD, a Kirin 710 chipset, 6GB of RAM, a 3,650mAh battery and four cameras – a 20MP f/1.8 + 2MP main camera and a 24MP + 2MP front-facing camera.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Huawei Mate 20 will run Android 9.0 Pie.
