ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Special Assistant for Political Affairs Naeemul Haq announced on Tuesday that the government will sell four surplus helicopters of the Cabinet Division.
In a message on Twitter, Haque said the helicopters, which are going to sold, are lying unused with the cabinet division
He tweeted: “After the surplus car auction, 4 surplus helicopters will be sold which are lying unused with the cabinet division”.

The Khan’s assistant added that eight buffaloes of PM House, which were purchased for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s gastronomic requirements, would also be put on sale.
Haque wrote: “Plus , now listen to this, 8 buffaloes which Nawaz kept at the PM house for his gastronomic requirements. So all potential buyers please get ready”.
The helicopters and buffaloes will be put on sale after the auction of luxury and surplus vehicles on September 17.
In a fulfillment of a promise made by Imran Khan, the PM House released a list of luxury and surplus vehicles to be auctioned by the government under the austerity drive.
The vehicles to be put up include eight BMWs, three cars of 2014 model and three 5000cc SUVs and two 3000cc SUVs of 2016 model.

In his first speech to the nation after assuming office, PM Imran Khan had promised that the luxury vehicles of PM House would be put on auction so that the waste of national resources could be curtailed.
