PM Imran to inaugurate Mianwali Rail Car, Rawalpindi Express today

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan will be inaugurating two new train services at Rawalpindi Railways Station today.

The new trains named Mianwali Rail Car and Rawalpindi Express will be opened for the public, the first inauguration after Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad become federal minister for railways.

Mianwail Rail Car will cover Rawalpindi-Kundian via Golra Sharif, Tarnol, Fateh Jang, Bisal and Jund with a fare of Rs320, while Rs260 fare will be charged for Rawalpindi to Mianwali track.

The train consists of 7 economy class bogies with comfortable seats, a luggage van and a power van, while facilities, including charging points, toilets, will be available to passengers.

The Mianwali Rail Car will leave Rawalpindi at 6:00 pm and will reach Kundian at 11:00 pm. Similarly, it will leave Kundian at 7:00 am and will reach Rawalpindi at 12:00 pm.

Authorities have decided to offer 50% discount on tickets for the first three days after inauguration.

On Thursday, Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad examined a rake of the new train at Rawalpindi Railway Station.

Talking to the media, the minister announced to launch two new trains soon. He said that he will inspect train in disguise of a common passenger to keep a check on the railways’ performance.
