LAHORE – The ongoing war of words between the two nuclear-armed Asian neighbours has created a tense situation in the region after the cancellation of ministers meeting on the sidelines of UN General Assembly session by India, however, the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is hopeful that the situation would not impact the cricket scene.
The PCB chairman Ehsan Mani said in a presser that he was in contact with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to pursue a case which PCB registered against its counterpart.

The PCB filed the $70 million compensation case against BCCI for not fulfilling the Memorandum of Understand (MoU), which was signed at the time of the formation of ‘Big Three’.
As per the MoU, the traditional rivals had to face each other in six bilateral series from 2015-2023, four of which were supposed to be hosted by Pakistan.
However, not a single series was played after BCCI claimed that it has not received permission from the federal government to play against the Men in Green due to political tensions between both countries.
Mani expressed that the case was in final stage so any kind of intervention should be avoided.
In response to a question, Mani said he was concerned about the T-10 league. No one knows about its administration or how it would be funded, he said.
The chairman said he wanted players to focus on their game and would update media if there is any progress about the T-10 league.
Mani also mentioned that in his upcoming meeting with the International Cricket Council (ICC) on October 20, he would extend an invitation to foreign teams to visit Pakistan.
