Samsung Galaxy S10 LEAKED patent shows notchless and unique design

SEOUL – Samsung is expected to unveil to launch its flagship Galaxy S10 smartphone next year with “very significant” design changes.

The phone has been rumored for months and reports suggest that the new smartphone might have a hole cut-out for a selfie camera.

The South-Korean tech giant has filed a patent for its Infinity-O display technology that the company had announced during recent developer conference.

The new patent which was filed with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) shows full edge-to-edge display and a single circular cutout on the top left corner.

The smartphone manufacturer has exhibited two designs with a camera cutout in the upper-left corner.

Model A’s corners are more like the Galaxy Note9’s squarer corners while Model B’s are much closer to the Galaxy S9 corners.

Other models like C, E, F, and J have curved glass at different edges and configurations. If Samsung goes with any one of those designs, it’ll still be unique in the smartphone industry as a whole, as this hasn’t been done before.

However, Samsung hasn’t indeed picked out the final design of the phone and the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy S10 in late February at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Other rumors suggest that the S10 will have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and three rear cameras: standard, wide, and telephoto.
