Altaf Hussain working for enemies of Pakistan : Shahbaz Sharif

KARACHI (Staff Report) – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday said Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has been working for ‘enemies’ of Pakistan while responding to a statement in which the latter had urged his party workers to request United Nations and Nato to send forces in Karachi to put an end to persecution of Mohajir community.

The chief minister went on to say the people of Pakistan await an exemplary end of those asking India and others for help. Such statements by a politician prove that law enforcement agencies are taking right steps in Karachi, he added.

Shahbaz Sharif said the Pakistanis will never forget such tactics to demoralize the armed forces of Pakistan.

He further appreciated the role of security agencies especially Rangers in improvement of law and order situation in Karachi.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, while addressing a convention in Dallas, had asked party workers to approach the international organizations to inform them about human rights violation against Mohajirs in Karachi.

Earlier on July 30, MQM had submitted a letter to United Nations’ international secretariat requesting the secretary general Ban Ki-moon to take notice of ongoing operation of paramilitary forces in Karachi.

MQM chief has been criticizing the Sindh Rangers time and again since a raid was on party headquarters, the nine zero, in March this year.
