No details have been provided about the agenda of the meeting, sparking fresh speculations about the possibility of a new settlement, though CM Punjab, in an exclusive conversation with Daily Pakistan termed all such rumours “baseless” adding that the recent tour was not of political or personal nature.
Shehbaz said he was to visit the country to perform Umrah and this time Saudi authorities honoured him by sending a special plane for him.
The high-profile meeting between Saudi Royal and Sharif duo was also confirmed by former first daughter Maryam Nawaz through her Twitter handle.

Former premier Nawaz Sharif headed to Saudi Arabia on Sunday at a time when his younger brother Shehbaz Sharif was already there, raising eyebrows of political commentators who viewed the unexpected dash to the oil-rich kingdom to be the forerunner of an NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) type agreement easing embattled Sharifs, despite consistent denials of former ruling family.
