PML-N’s MPA president Ismail Rahu quits Sindh Assembly to join PPP

KARACHI – Ismail Rahu, the PML-N president in Sindh, resigned from the provincial assembly on Monday to join Pakistan People’s Party.

Rahu submitted his resignation as Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) and is likely to meet Asif Ali Zardari tomorrow (Wednesday) where he would announce his decision to join the party.

Last month, Rahu had resigned from the ruling PML-N citing personal issues. His resignation was accepted by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on April 2, 2017.

Babu Sarfraz Khan of Larkana District Bar president had replaced Ismail Rahu as president Sindh PML-N chapter.

Ismail Rahoo, from Badin, was elected to Sindh Assembly in 1990 and 1997. He has been the Minister for Excise and Taxation and the Minister for Livestock and Fisheries in Pakistan.
