ISLAMABAD – Pakistanis are reeling after a jaw-dropping surge in Petrol and Diesel prices, sparking outrage and laughter in equal measure across social media.
With cost of petrol now touching Rs458.4 per litre and Diesel soaring to Rs520.35 per litre, many are joking that the only way forward is hopping on bicycles or even donkey carts. Ministry of Energy followed up with official notification confirming the steep hike, petrol has gone up by Rs137.24 per litre, diesel by Rs184.49 per litre, and kerosene by Rs34.08 per litre, now priced at Rs457.80 per litre.
